Just outside Monte San Savino (1.5 km), this holiday apartment is located on the 1st floor of a historic villa, surrounded by park-like grounds with a pool (shared with ITA901).
The apartment has a separate entrance on the ground floor, the central living room is reached via a wide and comfortable staircase. The living room with open fireplace leads to the small kitchen and two of the three bedrooms; a third, with bathroom, is on the other side of the staircase. The whole building has retained its original characteristics and atmosphere; the furnishings are in antique rustic style. Cot on request. There is a private outdoor seating area in front of the house; various other garden seating areas are scattered around the property - so you can enjoy an espresso under a rose-covered pergola and a glass of wine in the shade of tall trees. The pretty little town of Monte San Savino, where you will find various bars, good restaurants and ice cream parlours, is also within easy walking distance for keen city trippers: Arezzo (20 km, also by train), Cortona 30 km, Siena 50 km and Florence 80 km. Monte San Savino offers a wide range of cultural events in summer, especially concerts in the rose garden; on Wednesdays there is a colourful market. Table football available in the communal area. The owner produces olive oil and wine of excellent quality using non-industrialised methods and respecting traditional techniques and methods. The wine is made from grapes of local varieties such as Sangiovese and the first press oil is given by local varieties (Moraiolo and Morelli). Guests can taste the products and visit the wine cellar and take part in the harvest in the last days of September.
