This beautiful holiday house has a cosy fireplace in the open plan living and kitchen area. You can enjoy long hours of sunshine and warmth from the barbecue during cooler evenings with a beautiful view of the sea from the terrace. For more than 100 years, Odsherred with its beautiful beaches and varied landscape has been a favourite holiday destination for Danes. You will like the unique atmosphere in Odsherred which is hardly found anywhere else in Denmark. It is surrounded by the Isefjord, the Kattekat and the Bay of Sejerø, where you can see the sunlight reflected through the water. Odsherred is a geological wonder and is beautiful like a geo park. Along the grave hill street, you can find graves and tombs that date back to the Stone Age and Bronze Age. Here there are remains of the historical forest village of Ulkerup, and the Hempel Glass Museum which are about 300 years old. A replica of the sun chariot found in the moors of Trundholm moses is available in the Odsherred Museum. You can also take a look at the Lommesten rocks as well as the castle of Naesholm Borg located on a small island in lake Nygård Sø and situated between Hojby and Nykobing. In Odsherred you can also find a nature school where you can learn to catch sea trout, go on butterfly safaris, take expeditions through forest and explore the forest with troll and fox trips. Children can have fun and enjoy some exciting moments in the Odsherred Fire Museum. You can visit the Sjaelland Adventure Land located nearby, the galleries typical of Odsherred and the Dragsholm Palace built in the 13th century. Havnebyen is the only proper fishing harbour with boats and a small fish smoke house. Even fishermen on recreation can enjoy fishing in this region. You can go shopping and visit the coffee houses in Nykøbing Sjælland. Seal safaris are available in the harbour of Rorvig. You can sail from Rorvig to Hundested from where you can reach Copenhagen in just an hour by taking a ferry. Enjoy ferry rides from Havnsø to the small Islands of Sejerø and Nekselø. Sejerø offers a beautiful nature, megalithic tombs and a church with chalk paintings. Nekselø hosts a unique bird world and some excellent fishing grounds.
