Historic farmhouse with water views on Rügen
Renovated farmhouse, built around 1840 with a view of the water. The house was carefully renovated to a high standard, with individuality and value taking centre stage. It was important that the connection to a historic building was retained despite the modern and open-plan design. In addition to open beams, it also has an open gallery. The bathrooms are designed with natural stone (Brazilian slate) and fitted with Philippe Starck sanitaryware. The walls are partially lined with clay bricks and finished with clay or high-quality mineral plaster; the insulation is made exclusively from hemp. The bright and sun-drenched house has wooden parquet flooring and historic brick flooring in the kitchen. A steel staircase made of pig iron with timber flooring leads to an open gallery with a reading corner and a wonderful view over the wide fields to the second bedroom on the upper floor with a roof terrace exit and a view as far as the Bodden. The farmhouse half stands on a natural garden plot of approx. 2,500 square metres with adjoining fields. In autumn and spring, large flocks of wild geese and cranes can be observed directly from the terrace or the garden.
